Karen has been a licensed Cosmetologist since 1974. Lisa and
Karen opened the Mane Event Hair Salon in August of 1990 at 103
S. 3rd Street. In 1995, Karen bought out Lisa's portion of
the business. Due to major roof problems, Karen purchased
the present building in 1997. They remodeled the building,
and added two more chairs. They have added a nail & pedicure
roomas well as a massage therapy room. They keep expanding
to meet their customer's needs.
Karen has three adult children; Jess, Amy & Julia. Jess
and his wife Melissa live in O'Neill, and have given Karen two wonderful
grandsons, Caden & Keegan. They own and manage a Radio
Shack, and have started a wireless internet company, MorComm.
Amy lives in Santa Cruz, California. She works at a Kidney
Dialysis Center. Julia s the newest member at the Mane Event
as their part time Massage Therapist as she is now a full time student
at Wayne State.
Karen is a member of Big Pal / Little Pal program. She also
enjoys spending time with family, friends and motorcycling.

Lisa has been
a Cosmetologist since 1982. Karen and Lisa created the Mane
Event Hair Salon in 1990. Lisa is well known for her specialty
hair dos for weddings, proms, and other special occasions.
Lisa attended Josephs Hair Design in Lincoln. Lisa furthers
her education by attending continuing education classes to gain
knowledge regarding current trends in hair, makeup and clothes.
Lisa and her husband live north of Spencer, Nebraska. They
have two daughters, Claire who is nine years old, and Sophie, who
is seven years old. Her husband, Kent, is involved in farming
and ranching on his family's home place. Lisa and her family
enjoy attending local sports activities, swimming & spending
time with extended family.

Michelle received her Cosmetology license from Bahner's Academy
in Omaha. She has been a member of the Mane Event team since
1996.
Michelle was born and raised in O'Neill. She currently lives
with her husband, Scott, and their dogs Lizzie and Fred.
Michelle is always first in line to go to continuing education
classes and is always striving to stay on the cutting edge of
creative ways to do new color trends. Michelle enjoys reading,
hunting, fishing, and scrap booking.
